I find myself sharing my class wiki's with friends and how the children are learning, and they always comment on my enthusiasm, and how it must be fun to be in my classroom. I really do wonder if how we are learning is making a difference. I wonder if I should be doing more learning with e learning in the Maori medium. I wonder sometimes if colleagues really do get the picture. We are bogged down with so much to "have to" teach the children, I wonder how our kids will survive.

My feel my recent presentations, always seem to be in a rush.. I wonder if anyone real gets it, or whether they are just trying to be nice. I wonder if what "we" I" are doing in the class is really working, then I look at the progress in the wiki and realise they are enjoying what they are doing. My kids have told me that they spend more time on the wiki than any other site on the computer.

I have to keep reminding myself that you can please everybody all the time.

  1. I think back on what Dave asked us about is the IWB making a difference to our children's learning and I also hear you asking a similar thing about your wiki.Once in my blog about the end of 2009 when we had to share with a partner if what we had been doing in ICT had helped my children's learning I also asked that question and started to doubt things because I couldn't actually prove it to myself. LW answered and if you can find her reply as a comment on my blog (about Nov last year ) I know you will tell yourself YES. I also think teacher enthusiasm about 21st century learning is a big plus. Your children love the learning they are doing _ I NEVER hear a R3 tamariki say "I'm bored."

  2. Jo- I want to use Thinking Buddies in r20. Can you remember the person who told us about them and how they work and some time can I ask your kids about them. Maybe I could do it on the wiki you have in your room. can you show me how to get into it sometime. Also do you know how to put Slide (photos on to a blog) please.

  3. Just me again. I found your classwiki via the comment you made in the discussion page of the Rellco wiki. Then I listened to your kids voice about Thinking Buddies so I know all about them now. I have requested to join the wiki as the learning on there is not just for your kids its for me too. I love being a 21st century learner -even if I'm in the slow learners group. I think I just made a mistake and initally posted this comment on my own blog - but I think I have it right now.I see my IWB and projector are up (at a good height ) so I just need all the bits and pieces now.
