Yahoo this works now!!! In 2008 our school became a part of the East Side Cluster for ITC, we have now been doing this for nearly 12 months, this is an update and a journey of my reflection.

A couple of weeks ago I along with others attended the Annual Learning Conference for mostly ICT clusters throughout New Zealand. I thoroughly enjoyed it but it would have better if I was able to go the breakout sessions i wanted to, so instead chose the next best thing. A brief description would have been programs on the web that you can use in your daily class. A mac workshop, which of course we dont have Macs, and a setting up a wiki, netvibes, rss. The interesting thing is that when I presented it to the staff it didnt seem as exciting as I would have liked it to be, and I felt afterwards that it wasnt enough to be able to say it was worthwhile. Nevertheless whats done is done. I do feel that what I do in the class now should be always using interwrite, unless it is a display of somesort.

Whats going on in my classroom. It is harder than I anticipated, only because I am trying to work within the school inquiry learning, and within the maori medium learning. I have taken a step at a time,

MY Goal is to empower my students to learn by teaching them the skills.
How do I intend to do this.... I wonder wall.... I am begining the thinking keys... What if......
Well thats a start.....

  1. Hiya. It is great to be able to connect this way and I am looking forward to hearing more about your inquiry. How did the wondering wall go? Did it encourage the children's curiosity?

  2. I have been lazy and did not pursue it, so now that I am connecting to the e learning in ways of never thought I would, I shall revisit the wall

  3. It has been a while and my reflection has not been as fluent as I would have liked, so the attempt to move on starts now.

  4. Parent Interviews
A parent commented on how learning has changed since he was at school, and how happy he was that children are learning skills to think
