Twittering
Have opened a twitter account for some of the year 6s, lets see where this leads us.
Oh No the third term
OMG time is flying past quickly...... and I am wondering about my goal this year and where am I at. The goal post has moved further outfield and it is going to take a little longer to get there. The classblogmeister seems to be sitting on the fence, the wiki is taking a break. So what is it.... a tad of frustration by such a range of students levels and abilities. 21 kids ranging from year 4 to year 6. reading abilities from 5 years old to 13 plus. Its a tough call. With new ideas, and assessment tools something has to be abandoned... What will it be? So the RWC has taken over for the rest of the term.... what engaging questions will the tamariki have?

Profile
Hey there, I am in the process of putting together a simple framework for our unit. Consultation with the tamariki and with the parents will add support. The tamariki seem to be enjoying their time with Kiri when I am out of the classroom, becaus she plays games, in Maori, when really they are learning and dont even know it... funny huh.

what do the kids think?
Using coloured felt for sharing their ideas was exciting for them. One of the questions were, how does the classroom environment help your learning. Some answers were; we can see maori kupu and whakapapa around the walls. Others reminds us of who we are.

Last year my thoughts drifted to how inquiry in the Maori medium would work, what would it look like? The thought passed on by.
Today while revisiting Teacher Action Inquiry Goals, the thought came to mind again. So I have decided that this will be my action inquuiry for the year. What is I want to achieve? What learning needs to take place?

Aha
Reflection on 2010, it was a great year of learning.
The question is will the tamariki remember their learning and take it to new heights.
